Welcome Nicole Myers, RDN, LDN, CDCES to Happy Valley Nutrition!

Hello everyone!

It brings me such great pleasure to announce our newest dietitian, Nicole Myers, RDN, LDN, CDCES! Nicole is a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, Certified Diabetes Educator, AND digestive health specialist!

As always, I've asked Nicole a few questions so you can get to know her a bit better. Read on below:

Tell us a little about your journey to becoming an RD

My interest in health and nutrition started in high school and was probably fueled by seeing so many difficult relationships to food and body in my circle of friends. The only time my interest in the profession wavered was about six years ago, right before transitioning my practice to weight inclusive care. The more experience I got, the more I started to see the harm done with traditional weight-centered nutrition counseling. Once my eyes were opened, there was no turning back.

Where did you work before coming to HVN?

Prior to HVN, I worked with Mass General Brigham at Newton Wellesley Hospital in Newton MA. My time was spent in an outpatient setting (one on one) seeing lots of folks with diabetes, digestive issues, disordered eating, high cholesterol and blood pressure etc. I also created and led a virtual prenatal nutrition class for the community on a monthly basis.

Why is being an anti-diet/weight inclusive provider important to you?

I want to be a safe space for people to explore what health means to them beyond what we’ve been led to believe about body size. I want to help repair the harm done by diet culture and witness people reclaim the space to live fully.

Who is your ideal client? What are your specialities?

My ideal client is anyone ready to get curious about their relationship to food and motivated to step a little outside of the regular routine or comfort zone. I specialize in diabetes care, digestive health, intuitive eating and disordered eating.

What do you like to do for fun?

I enjoy yoga, reading, cooking and baking, camping and spending time with my family which includes two kids (3 and 6), husband and our dog Jax. I’d like to spend more time getting into photography and gardening in the near future!

Nicole is with HVN on Wednesdays and Thursdays and is accepting new clients NOW! Click on “Contact Us” and request a free 15-min call with Nicole!
