working with us?

  • Diagnosed with an eating disorder or have a history or an eating disorder, OR are a parent with a child who has an eating disorder

  • Are a chronic dieter and tired of the mixed messages about food and nutrition (basically, you’re confused as to what to eat!)

  • Think you should “be on a diet” and struggle with body image, but know deep down diets don’t work

  • Have an all-or-nothing relationship with food (you’re “on” or “off” with your eating plan)

  • Heard about Intuitive Eating and want to learn how to implement the principles to heal your relationship with food and body image

  • Think about food “too much” during the day

  • Feel addicted to sugar or other foods and feel like they hold power over you

  • Life's up and downs are totally dependent on how you feel about weight and body image

  • Overexercise, especially around times when you feel you might have eaten too much or ate something that wasn’t what you planned to eat

  • Confused and don't know what foods work best for you

  • In recovery from an eating disorder and want to make sure you get the support you need

  • A parent of an adolescent or teenager and are concerned about their eating habits or body image struggles

How It Works

western Massachusetts dietitian

Step 1

Let’s Talk

The first step sometimes feels like the hardest and we totally get that. We’ll begin with a free clarity call where you get a chance to tell us all about you! We’ll discuss your health goals, and what type of support will best suit you. Don’t want the call? No problem- we can just book an initial appointment!

Step 2

Let’s Get to Work

During this first session to get to the heart of things, we’ll explore your personal history and how we can best achieve your health goals together. During the session we’ll create a plan that best suits you and discuss the ideal ways we can support you until our next appointment.

Let’s Keep Moving Forward

Feeling good in your body doesn’t happen overnight — it takes time and patience. Creating a bold, healthy life on your terms is a life-long journey that is equal parts amazing, inspiring, and honestly…sometimes downright terrifying. It takes bravery, dedication and sometimes a little audacity to get where you want to go.

Nutrition counseling services can be done in-person (Amherst office) or via Telehealth.

Let’s Do This!

“Life-changing “has become such a cliche term, but I have to use it in regards to my work with Amanda. I went in skeptical but desperate and a few months later have begun to radically transform my behaviors and beliefs around food, weight and health. I can not recommend this process highly enough. The emotional freedom is tremendous, and Amanda is so knowledgeable and understanding. It’s hard work, but Amanda makes it a journey of curiosity.” - R S

We are credentialed with the following insurance companies:

Coverage depends on individual plans and benefits.

Did you know that you can use your insurance to cover visits with a Registered Dietitian, often with no copay?
Contact us to learn how and for any specific questions for using insurance to cover visits.

We do not accept MassHealth or Tufts Public/Direct plans as they do not credential private practice dietitians. We offer out of pocket rates for these clients. While we do accept Medicare plans for nutrition counseling, only Diabetes (not “prediabetes”) and kidney disease are covered.
